1. M.A.C Cosmetics Matte Lipstick in Yash | $30
Including the likes of Velvet Teddy, Honeylove and Whirl, I've got a lotta experience with M.A.C nude lipsticks. However, Yash is an underrated star in my humble opinion. From a day at the office to a night out at my fave dive bar, I seriously wear this lipstick every day. It's a pigmented, deep neutral colour that combines a silky feeling with a matte finish. 10/10 every time.
If you're on the hunt for a cheaper dupe of Yash, try the Revlon Super Lustrous Luscious Matte in Untold Stories (RRP $24.95) instead.

2. M.A.C Cosmetics Frosted Lipstick in Angel | $30
Sadly, my favourite go-to lipstick (which was interestingly from Topshop) has been discontinued, but the next best for me is the M.A.C Frosted Lipstick in the shade Angel. The frost adds texture and the colour is the perfect neutral pink for an everyday lip.

3. Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Lipstick | $49
This staple lipstick takes me from day to night. I love how I don't need to re-apply throughout the day, plus it goes with everything in my wardrobe. It's totally worth the expensive price tag of $49. Plus, I usually only buy two per year and I wear the shade every day. So that boils down to a 27 cent cost per wear, which is pretty damn good.

4. M.A.C Cosmetics Retro Matte in Russian Red | $30
M.A.C's Russian Red was the very first lipstick I ever bought and is the one that I still return to, many, many lipstick purchases later.
Rather than a hot power-red, Russian Red has a deep red colouring that lends it a classy, Old Hollywood Glam vibe. With its strong blue undertones, the lipstick is also suited to a wider range of skin tones and hair colours than bright orange/red lipsticks are, making it a makeup bag must-have.

5. Mecca Max Pout Pop Sheer in Reality Check | $20
I love this lippy because it's super natural and hydrating on the lips. It's the perfect balance between a lip balm and lip gloss, leaving your lips looking plump and juicy. Oh, and it's super cheap!

6. Dior Lip Glow Oil in Cherry | $55
If you're looking for a break from your usual lipstick and liner combo, I seriously recommend giving the Dior Lip Glow Oil a red-hot go. There are 4 shades to choose from, and my ultimate fave is Cherry (I don't usually go for reds, but this is so soft and dreamy).
The plush applicator allows you to get into every nook and cranny, plus the formulation itself is super hydrating. There is a hefty price tag attached, but if you're looking to treat yo'self, start with this.

7. Jouer Cosmetics Long-Wear Creme Matte Lip Liner | $22.50
This was a big struggle for me to choose because I've tried a helluva lot of lipsticks. In recent years I've moved away from wearing traditional lipsticks and prefer a lip liner and lip balm combo because it lasts longer and is more hydrating on my lips.
So with that in mind, the lip liner that is my go-to and that I'd like to be buried in is the Jouer Cosmetics Long-Wear Creme Matte Lip Liner (specifically the nude shade). These bad boys literally do not budge all day and are super creamy, and the fact that they're a twist-up liner make's life easier and worth living.
