You don't need to spend a cent to get your game on this weekend.

With a frankly ridiculous number of games releasing every week, it's tough for any particular title to stand out from the pack, especially after the buzz of its launch week has faded away. To combat this, more and more games are leveraging the power of going free to bring in new players, whether it be by holding free weekends or going all-in on the free-to-play model.

This is great news for anyone looking to game on the cheap, but it can be tricky to keep track of all the limited-time offers and free-to-play deals that crop up each week. That's why we've rounded up the best free games you can play this weekend along with exactly what each offers. For games that are only temporarily free, we've also tracked down the best deals so you can pick up the full game cheap if you find yourself hooked.
