The end of financial year sales period is in full swing – and there are a few fashion sales you won't want to miss!

End of financial year is one of the best times to find massive, money-saving deals on fashion – especially designer fashion. There are a number of major stores running big clearance sales right now, but if you're just after deals on clothes and shoes, which ones should you check out first? We've pulled out our personal favourites; the ones that we shopped last year and the ones we're shopping again this year.

Keep reading to see our favourite fashion sales that are on right now, or you can head over to our comprehensive list of end of financial year sales, which looks at all categories including home, beauty, tech and more.

1. THE ICONIC - Half off or better sale

THE ICONIC is running a massive half-off sale. More than 15,000 items have been added to the sale, and you'll find all these items have been reduced by 50% or more. The sale includes items from Nike, Maje, Bec + Bridge, KITX and Mulberry. There are a number of good finds in this sale. I'm probably going to buy a pair of black Tom Ford sunglasses that are down from $600 to $300. Plus you'll also find there's a 25% off deal on selected footwear.

2. Farfetch - Take an extra 30% off sale items.

Okay, straight up, there are a lot of annoying exclusions in this sale. Items from brands like Acne Studios, Balenciaga and Saint Laurent – all my favourite brands – are excluded. But there are still tonnes of good brands that are included like Kenzo, Givenchy and Chloé. If you love designer fashion, this sale is major and I've been tempted quite a few times. I found a pair of Chloé mules I've being eyeing come down to $500 – which is an insanely good price if you know Chloé. Click at your own risk.

3. David Jones - Take an extra 30% off already reduced fashion

David Jones sales are always good. There are always loads of stock, great brands and very good prices. This sale has got some really cool pieces if you can be bothered to sift through everything. My favourites so far would be this LA-cool pair of straight leg Levi's , a fabulous all-occasions LBD from Bec + Bridge, a classy and winter-appropriate dress from AllSaints and this cute Michael Kors messenger bag in grey.

4. SSENSE - Up to 60% off markdowns

SSENSE sales are something that people actively hang out for – especially me. This a designer store with more of a streetwear aesthetic, so many of the pieces are a lot more wearable day to day. This means the investment pieces you buy here are things you can get a decent cost per wear out of. There's always a great selection of pieces in this particular sale. My top picks to buy are the basics from RE/DONE and the jumpers from Kenzo.

5. Princess Polly - Up to 70% off 100s of items

Princess Polly is running a big clearance for end of financial year. Hundreds of items have been added to the sale and prices have been slashed by up to 70%. This is a great place to start if you're looking to flesh out your wardrobe with super wearable, trend-focused pieces. Last year, I picked up a few great knits and some cute dresses for the coming summer season. I filled up my shopping cart with five items and still spent less than $100.

6. FORZIERI - Up to 50% off

FORZIERI is still a bit of a well-kept secret. This designer store focuses on designer accessories such as shoes, bags and jewellery and the prices are mad. At last year's sale, I got a pair of current season Marc Jacob boots for just $350. If you're only really interested in shoes and bags when shopping designer, head straight to this sale. New items are added regularly too, so keep checking in!

7. MINKPINK - End of season sale

While MINKPINK doesn't have the same volume of sales stock as some of the other stores, these sales are worth looking at because all of the sale pieces are really good. This sale is not about sifting through thousands of items to find one or two nice ones. This sale is about finding 50 dirt cheap items on sale and wanting all of them. I bought a bikini in this sale for something like $26, and it was hard not to buy anything else.

8. MATCHESFASHION.COM - Up to 60% off

I love when MATCHESFASHION.COM runs a sale – and this store doesn't do it very often. The sale sections are always filled with great staples like black dresses or blazers. In this particular sale, I've even seen a few of the newer season handbags. This is another designer sale you should definitely check out.

9. NET-A-PORTER - Up to 60% off

NET-A-PORTER sales are always filled with discounted gems. This year's sale has plenty of hot items. We're talking pieces from Balenciaga, Off-White and Cult Gaia – and yes there are plenty of sneakers. The sale runs across all categories including the beauty section of the site, so there are a few fab pieces from Marc Jacobs Beauty and Artis that you might want to add to your cart while you're there.

10. BNKR - 25% off already reduced items

The BNKR sale on for end of financial year is a good one for finding striking dresses and even office-appropriate pieces. The clothes at BNKR have a lot of personality but without being intimidating for anyone that likes to stick to basics. While BNKR isn't cheap, it's not designer-priced either. You can pick up staple pants and skirts and printed tops for around $100-$150. Given the discount, this price comes way down. There are some very lovely pants and dresses in this sale that are absolutely worth looking at.

You'll need a code for this one, which you can get here.
