Streaming platform Disney+ has been making waves ever since launch thanks to its generous family-friendly library, appealing original content and handy features.
Now, the service is getting even better with the addition of a new channel, Star, which will focus on more adult-oriented titles. That means a fresh influx of TV shows and movies, which includes 102 series that weren't previously available to stream in Australia.
On the TV side, you can relax with feel-good procedurals like Castle and Bones, catch up with seasons 15–17 of Grey's Anatomy, enjoy the thrill of Prison Break and laugh out loud with four seasons of The Cleveland Show.
Check out the full list of new additions to Disney+ here. Or, you can start your Star adventure by tuning in to some of the best shows on the channel, which we've highlighted below.
Mark your calendars for 23 February for the launch of Star (not just because of the price rise) and stock up on popcorn. There will be plenty to binge.
An iconic dramedy, M*A*S*H managed to find humour in horror, which is why we'll probably still be watching it decades from now.
The series, which aired from 1972 to 1983, follows a team of doctors and support staff stationed at a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital in South Korea during the Korean War. They quickly figure out that laughter is the best way to deal with their current circumstances, so they do their best to keep their spirits up.
The show balances silly situations with sobering developments brilliantly, commenting on the nature of war while also emphasising character development. If you haven't seen it yet, there's no time like the present to familiarise yourself with Hawkeye and the rest of the gang.
Futurama revolves around a pizza delivery boy who is accidentally frozen in 1999 and wakes up on New Year's Eve 2999. Smelling a chance to start fresh, he goes to work for a delivery service that transports packages to all five quadrants of the universe, accompanied by a beautiful one-eyed female alien and a surprisingly human robot.
Inventive and hilarious, this adult animation is an exquisite blend of sci-fi and comedy. Plus, it often veers into satirical territory and the background gags are delicious. The future may not be particularly bright, but Futurama's present is worth exploring.
Created by David E. Kelly, also responsible for the wonder that is Big Little Lies, Big Sky is a crime drama that kicks off when two teens are kidnapped from a remote highway.
A couple of private detectives team up with an ex-cop to investigate and find more than they've bargained for. Turns out, the girls aren't the only ones who have disappeared from the area.
Big Sky is a compelling mystery show, with a great cast and plenty of curveballs – including a doozy of a twist in the series premiere. If you're looking for an appealing combo of thrills and melodrama, this one should be right up your alley.

There's no shortage of crime procedurals to choose from. Yet, White Collar stands out from the crowd thanks to the wonderful chemistry between the two leads and the cases it follows – generally nonviolent, financially motivated crimes. Think forgeries, smuggling, fraud and so on.
The show revolves around the partnership between an FBI agent and the charming con man he put behind bars, who team up to chase other criminals. Trust us: the banter between the two is reason enough to tune in.
New Girl centres on Jess, a sweet, naïve teacher who moves in with three single guys following a breakup. Like most hangout sitcoms, it follows the group as they experience the typical ups and downs of life, touching on their relationships and professional endeavours.
So why should you watch this? Because it's absolutely delightful.
That's mostly thanks to the tremendous ensemble cast. The show may revolve around Jess, but everyone gets their moment in the spotlight. These characters are quirky, relatable and hilarious. Prepare to laugh out loud.
Bob's Burgers revolves around the Belcher family, which consists of parents Bob and Linda and their children Tina, Gene and Louise. Together, they run a hamburger restaurant and go about their day-to-day lives.
The characters are quirky, the storylines zany and the show is consistently funny all throughout. Stream it when you need an extra dose of optimism in your life.
Set hundreds of years into the future, Firefly follows a renegade crew aboard a small spacecraft who struggle to survive by travelling to hidden corners of the galaxy. They also embark on galactic missions to make a little cash.
The show is a combo of space shenanigans and western action, which should make it particularly appealing to fans of The Mandalorian. Unfortunately, Firefly only lasted for one season, but it's a glorious season nonetheless.
Another hidden gem that was cancelled too soon. Bunheads comes from the creator of Gilmore Girls and revolves around a Las Vegas showgirl who moves to a sleepy town and ends up teaching at the local dance school.
It's charming, clever, funny and has a stellar ensemble cast. If you're looking for an entertaining show to warm your heart, you can't go wrong with this one.
Set in the same universe as beloved movie Love, Simon, this teen dramedy is as sweet as they come. It centres on Victor, the new kid in school, who goes on an exciting journey of self-discovery.
But besides struggling with his sexual orientation, Victor also has to deal with challenges at school and at home, so he reaches out to Simon for a little guidance. As far as spin-offs go, Love, Victor is one of the best.

In the mood for a heart-pounding thriller? 24 stars Kiefer Sutherland as counter-terrorist agent Jack Bauer, who always races against the clock to save the day… literally.
Each season is set over the course of a day, with each episode covering an hour in real time. The show blends political intrigue with tension and action in exquisite fashion, to the point where you will be unable to look away. Television rarely gets more exciting than this.
If you like your thrillers more soapy, there's nothing like Scandal to raise your blood pressure, especially if you're watching in the company of an Olivia Pope-approved glass of wine.
The story centres on a Washington fixer who is employed by powerful people to make their problems go away. It eventually gets more serialised, but the twists never stop coming.
Espionage and intrigue abound in Alias, a thrill ride that follows international spy Sydney Bristow. She was recruited out of college and she spends her time going head-to-head with shadowy intelligence agencies.
The series is rich in dazzling action sequences, but the writing and characters are top-notch as well. You'll be so caught up in Sydney's world you'll want to binge all five seasons ASAP.
Has there ever been a more realistic TV portrayal of what it's like to be an angsty teen girl? My So-Called Life only lasted for one season, but it's been a cult sensation ever since.
It revolves around Angela Chase, who is tired of being good so she rebels against her parents and life in general. Honest and beautifully acted, the show perfectly captures the awkwardness of adolescence. It also gracefully stands the test of time.
Keri Russell can do no wrong – except maybe cut her hair. That's why it's especially endearing to watch her work her magic in Felicity, a compelling coming-of-age drama about a girl who moves across the country to follow her crush to college. Once there, she gets involved in a love triangle that will last for four glorious seasons.
Felicity does a great job at portraying the college experience. Even if you haven't watched the show back in the day, these characters will feel like old friends in no time.
From one of the creators of Rick and Morty comes Solar Opposites, a hilarious adult animation about a family of aliens who are forced to take refuge on Earth.
They don't always understand human culture and they keep arguing whether our planet is horrible or great. The show is ridiculous, sure, but that's what makes it stand out from the crowd. If you vibe with its humour you'll find yourself hooked from episode one.
