How do the latest Click FrenzyTM offers compare to the travel specials it ran in October?

Less than a month after the inaugural Click FrenzyTM Travel event that took place on 18 October, the main annual event kicked off this evening at 7pm and also included a slew of travel companies.

With deals on tours, flights, travel accessories and more, on top of deals from online clothing, appliances and electronics retailers, there are more than 300 deals on offer. We’ve done the hard work for you, and have rounded up the top travel deals available in Click FrenzyTM, as well as assessing whether they're better than last time around:


What's the deal?

15% off sitewide, with a maximum discount of $50

What would we book?

  • 1-night Melbourne city stay: Was $99 (down from $326), and is just $84.15 with the extra discount
  • 3-night Bali getaway with buffet breakfast: Was $149 (down from $274), and is now just $126 with the extra discount
  • 8-day Golden Triangle tour of India: Was $599 (down from $929), and is now $549

How does it stack up against October’s Click FrenzyTM Travel?

Groupon offered the same discount, however availability and deal details are always changing.

STA Travel

What are the deals?

Up to 40% off Contiki tours in Europe and Asia, up to $350 off G Adventures tours, $25 off flights to Asia with Thai Airways, $50 off flights to Europe with Emirates.

What would we book?

  • 8-day Turkish Sailing for $533: (20% off, was $639)
  • 14-day Spanish Spree for $1,317: (40% off, was $2195)
  • 15-day Highlights of New Zealand for $2,899: ($350 off, was $3,249)
  • 9-day Northern Thailand Explorer for $649: ($350 off, was $999)

How does it stack up against October’s Click Frenzy Travel?

G Adventures tours weren’t discounted in October and no flight deals were offered during that sale.

Hamilton Island

What's the deal?

Up to 30% of stays at select hotels

What would we book?

  • Stay at The Reef View Hotel for 30% off the regular price including breakfast: (Now $315 per night, regularly $450)
  • Stay in a Palm Bungalow for 30% off the regular price including breakfast: (Now $323 per night, regularly $461)

How does it stack up against October's Click FrenzyTM Travel?

Hamilton Island only offered packages in October, with the lowest price being $1480. The Reef View is advertised at $315 per night, which works out to just shy of four nights' stay, so those looking to go for less missed out. This time around it's a straight discount, which is a better bargain.

What would we book?

  • 9-day China tour to Beijing and Shanghai including flights for $799: Was $1399

How does it stack up against October’s Click FrenzyTM Travel?

InterTrips offered this same China tour in October, which we thought was a stellar deal then. This is a great opportunity to book if you missed the October offer.

Travel Online

What's the deal?

50% off Phuket hotel package, stay-and-save offers in North Queensland and Fiji

What would we book?

  • 8-night stay at Merlin Hotel in Phuket, Thailand with breakfast and transfers for $399: (Was $798)
  • 5-night stay at Plantation Resort in Fiji with transfers for $519 (Was $865, offer includes two free nights)

How does it stack up against October's Click FrenzyTM Travel?

Travel Online didn't participate in October.


What's the deal?

25% off stays in Hawaii

What would we book?

  • Stay at the Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach: It has the lowest rates of Hilton's hotels in the area that are discounted.

How does it stack up against October's Click FrenzyTM Travel?

Hilton is now offering discounts at Hilton Hawaii Waikiki Beach Resort, which it didn't in October. However, it's not discounting the DoubleTree by Hilton Alana, Waikiki Beach.

The Click FrenzyTM sale offers are available until 6:59pm AEDT on 15 November. STA Travel and Groupon have both extended their deals, allowing bookings until 11:59pm AEDT on 15 November.

Click FrenzyTM is a bi-annual sale event run every May and October or November by Global Marketplace, featuring hundreds of deals online for a quick 24-hour window.
