Fast facts about Berlin

Where is it? Berlin is in Germany's northwest, about 100km from the Polish border.

How do I get there? There are no direct flights to Berlin from Australia, but you can get there with just one connection with airlines like Qatar, Emirates, Etihad and Singapore Airlines in about 21 hours.

When should I go? June and September are just outside the busy summer season (July and August), but will grant you similar weather before the winter chill kicks in.

What should I do? See Brandenburg gate, walk along the East Side Gallery (murals along the remaining Berlin Wall), party until dawn thanks to Berlin's notorious nightlife.
