Bad brows are now a problem of the past and I'm pretty damn happy about it.

When it comes to brows, I'm pretty genetically blessed. I have Italian heritage and with that comes a whole lot of eyebrow.

I've been getting my eyebrows waxed since I was nine because I gave Frida Kahlo a run for her money. However, now that big brows are in, I really do love my thick eyebrows. The one thing that they have suffered after years of waxing and plucking is that they're now a little uneven. Hence, where brow products come in.

Finding a brow product has been a little bit like Goldilocks and her porridge. A pomade is too much, a brow gel is too little but a pencil, well it's just right.

Why we love this product

When the Kat Von D signature brow pencil landed on my desk, I really had some high hopes. I had previously been using the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz. The downside was that I broke the spoolie off not once but three times because it just couldn't handle my thick brows. Depressing I know. I also felt like after a couple hours, the product had faded off into the horizon.

But this brow product really stood up for the challenge. The fine tip of the brow pencil means it's super easy to recreate the look of brow hairs. This gave my brows a super full and fluffy look. In other good news, I also managed to not break the spoolie so this product gets another tick.

One factor about this brow product was that it wasn't as creamy as others I have tried. You may think that's a bad thing but the dryer formula means you can really build up the product as much as you want. Additionally, the fact that it is a dry formula means the product really sticks to your face and won't budge throughout the day.

Below I tested the product out on our editor, who has thinner brows than myself, to really show how this product can make a small difference with a big effect. She isn't a fan of the "Instagram brow" and prefers something a little more natural, which this brow product can easily achieve.

Affordability

This brow pencil does sit at the more high-end scale of things. It retails for $30, but in my opinion is worth every cent. I have no doubt that the price point comes from the super high quality of not only the product but the packaging. It's super sturdy, won't snap and the wind-up mechanism to get the product out makes doing your brows simpler than ever before.

Where you can get it

You can purchase Kat Von D from our favourites over at Sephora. They not only offer a number of rewards but you can also get free shipping for orders over $50.
