Big Bash League squad changes 2020

Every squad change for the 2019/20 BBL season. See which side got better and who lost the most talent.
The BBL's most coveted inclusion is probably Brisbane's AB de Villiers, though he won't be playing in the BBL season opener for the Heat against Sydney Thunder. The Thunder are no slouches either and they've made a squad change with England T20 opener Alex Hales filling one of their import slots.
Elsewhere South African star Dale Steyn has joined the BBL and Melbourne Stars. It's been a good recruitment drive by the Stars, who also added Hilton Cartwright and Nathan Coulter-Nile.
Speaking of Coulter-Nile his departure along with Renegades-bound Shaun Marsh leaves the Scorchers looking very different. Fortunately they've got T20 gun for hire and number 10 ranked paceman Chris Jordan.
A team that have lost a huge talent are the Hobart Hurricanes. For the two previous years they've had West Indian-born England international Jofra Archer. Archer catapulted himself from virtual unknown to superstar thanks to the BBL.

The Sydney Sixers may have had the most interesting off-season. While they landed Australian stars Steve Smith and Josh Hazlewood, they'll both be preoccupied with the Australia vs New Zealand Test series.
Adelaide Strikers have brought in T20 specialist Phil Salt who'll most likely open the batting. Another handy addition for the Strikers is veteran Cameron White.
For our following BBL transfers list we've split the ins and outs into two columns. Check out the rest of the BBL squad changes.
