After winning BBL|08, the Renegades had a disastrous season last summer, finishing last. Despite losing key players, the squad is hoping its luck will turn and the Victorians can recover some of their former glory.
Dan Christian, Tom Cooper and Jack Wildermuth left the team for greener pastures, but the Renegades brought in fresh faces to compensate for the loss to play alongside skipper Aaron Finch. New players include Rilee Rossouw and Imran Tahir, both from South Africa. Afghan spinner Noor Ahmad is in as well.
Cricket fans can follow the Melbourne Renegades live and free. While some matches are on Channel 7, only Kayo and Foxtel have all games live, courtesy of Fox Cricket. For more details about broadcasts, check out our guide on how to watch the Big Bash League.
