Big Bash League preview: Adelaide Strikers team guide

The Adelaide Strikers are hoping to put last season's poor results behind them.

Arguably one of the most stable teams in the BBL, the Adelaide Strikers did not enjoy a particularly fruitful season last summer. They finished seventh and failed to qualify for the finals. It hurt even more given that they were coming off a dream BBL|07, when they won their first title.

However, the team are optimistic about BBL|09, having signed some talented players like Phil Salt and Harry Conway. They also said goodbye to Ben Laughlin and Colin Ingram but are hoping the new additions will compensate for the loss.

Players like Travis Head and Alex Carey will be away for international duties, so it will be interesting to see how the Strikers deal with the temporary departures – a hurdle that ended up affecting them last year.
