This week’s bargain phones: Save on iPhone 8 Plus, Galaxy S9+ or Google Pixel 2

Alex Kidman 3 April 2018 NEWS

Compare prices and save big money on Apple, Samsung or Google's flagship smartphones in our weekly round-up of the best deals.

Every week, we check the prices that leading online merchants sell the most popular premium smartphones for to find the best bargains. This is often a matter of directly importing a phone. When you do that, while you do have to pay for the whole phone upfront, you can save serious money. Given the serious prices most flagship phones command, any saving is smart work.

We've selected the lowest cost version of each handset available with an online vendor. You may find your colour choices constrained, as some vendors charge more for specific hues. Prices are as advertised on each vendor's website on 3 April 2018. Availability and pricing are subject to change without notice.

iPhone 8 Plus 64GB

Apple announced new iPads last week, but no new iPhone models, not even PRODUCT(RED) versions of its 2017 iPhone family. Still, its 2017 models are quite spiffy, and we still rate the iPhone 8 Plus as the best of the bunch. Sure, there's no FaceID, but you get the same app performance and much better battery life than on the more expensive iPhone X.

If your budget can't quite stretch to buying an iPhone 8 Plus outright, we've gathered up everything you need to know about the iPhone 8 Plus, including contract plans here.

Here are the best deals this week for the iPhone 8 Plus 64GB from retailers selling to Australian customers.

The Samsung Galaxy S9+ sits at the top of Samsung's premium Galaxy line with dual cameras, impressive battery life and plenty of processing power under the hood. All of that adds up to a serious asking price, but we're already seeing some bargains emerge even though the S9+ only launched a few weeks ago.

It's ideal if you want a simple and clean Android experience.
