Good news, everyone! The Galaxy S9 is now available to purchase in Australia!

Bad news, everyone! It's still going to be full price for a while, so don't plan on scoring any serious Samsung Galaxy S9 or Samsung Galaxy S9+ bargains for a while.

The availability of the 2018 model does mean that 2017's premium Galaxy phone, the Galaxy S8 is seeing some serious discounting right now.

One of the headline features of the heavily-hyped Samsung Galaxy S9 is the inclusion of 960fps slow motion. In the right circumstances, slowing the world down to 960 frames per second can be revelatory, or at least highly amusing.

However, you don't have to spend Samsung S9 money to get 960fps slow-mo. It's a feature already present on Sony's 2017 flagship phone, the Xperia XZ Premium.
