Compare prices and save on Apple, Samsung or Google's premium smartphones in our weekly roundup of the best deals.

Every week we diligently check and compare the outright prices charged by Australian retailers, as well as online stores that sell to Australia.

Buying a phone outright can bring you significant price benefits beyond simply getting a cheaper handset. You're then able to rapidly take advantage of SIM-only deals, or simply sell the handset yourself if something better you want more is released.

Buying a handset outright does involve being able to pay the full purchase price upfront. That's why it's smart to compare, in order to save the most money possible by purchasing a handset at the lowest price.

We've selected the lowest cost version of each handset available with an online vendor. That could constrain your colour choices, as some vendors charge more for specific hues.

Prices are as per each vendor's website on 6 February 2018 and are subject to change without notice.

iPhone X 64GB

Apple's premium phone for 2017, and realistically most of 2018 will be the iPhone X, combining Apple's first OLED display, FaceID for unlocking and a complete redesign of the iPhone visual style thanks to the removal of the TouchID sensor entirely.

It's a design step that you either love or loathe, but either way, the iPhone X holds the distinction of being a seriously expensive handset, and one that, up until now, we've struggled to find any bargains for at all.

If you'd rather grab an iPhone X on contract, or just want more information about the handset and its capabilities, we've collected everything you need to know about the iPhone X here.

Here are the best deals this week for the iPhone X 64GB from retailers selling to Australian customers.

Google's Pixel 2 combines a top-quality camera that's in the process of receiving a smart software upgrade along with the latest in Android upgrades before anyone else gets to see them. The Pixel 2 is also an example of a premium phone with a serious price point – unless you shop around.
