  • Complimentary travel insurance. This card offers up to 3 months overseas travel insurance for you, your eligible spouse and dependent children when you use it to pay for at least $500 of your travel costs and have a return travel ticket before you go overseas.
  • Uncapped reward points. This card earns 1 point per $1 spent on all eligible purchases, with no points cap. Eligible purchases cover most everyday transactions, including groceries, petrol, dining and travel bookings. Transactions that are not eligible to earn points include cash advances, government charges and BPAY payments.
  • Bonus points. Earn 50,000 bonus Amplify Points each year for the first 2 years when you spend $6,000 on eligible purchases over the course of the year for a total of 100,000 bonus Amplify Points. Points are credited to your account within 12 weeks of the spend requirement being met.
  • Amplify Rewards program. You can redeem your accumulated points for a wide range of products, including travel packages, gift cards, vouchers and retail items. You can also transfer Amplify Points to Velocity Frequent Flyer, Malaysia Airlines Enrich or Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer.
  • Balance transfer offer. Get a 0% interest rate for 6 months on balance transfers when you apply for a new card by 2 October 2019. The rate then reverts to the variable cash advance rate of 21.49% p.a. after the promotional period. Note that you cannot transfer debt from St.George, BankSA or Bank of Melbourne cards.

  • Annual fee. Outside of any promotions, the BankSA Amplify Platinum charges an annual fee of $99.
  • Purchase rate. This card has a variable interest rate of 19.74% p.a. for purchases.
  • Cash advances. If you use this card to withdraw cash or for another cash advance transaction, you'll pay a fee worth 2% of each cash advance amount (minimum of $2.50 capped at $150 per transaction). A variable interest rate of 21.49% p.a. applies to cash advances.
  • Interest-free days. Enjoy an interest-free period of up to 55 days on purchases when you pay your closing balance in full by the statement due date.
  • Foreign transaction fee. This card charges a fee of 3% for transactions made overseas or online with a company that is based overseas.
  • Additional cardholder. You can add 1 additional cardholder to your account without an additional cardholder fee.

Eligibility criteria

Before you can start applying for this credit card, you must meet following eligibility requirements:

  • Residency. You must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • Age. You must be at least 18 years old to apply.
  • New cardholder. The bonus point offer on this card is only available if you are a new cardholder and have not held an Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card issued by St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA in the last 12 months.

  • Personal details. This includes your full name, email address, contact number, residential address, date of birth, marital status and number of dependents. You also need to provide valid ID, such as your driver's licence or passport.
