Expert review

This is the mid-tier card in the BankSA Amplify Rewards range. It has a promotional e-gift card offer, but the $3,000 spend hurdle is relatively high and the card can only be spent at JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings or Myer. Additional value can be derived from the complimentary travel insurance and purchase insurance covers.

How to apply

You can apply for the BankSA Amplify Platinum online in around 10 minutes. Get started by making sure you meet the following eligibility requirements and have all the documents and details you'll need handy.

Eligibility criteria

  • Residency. To apply online, you must be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
  • New cardholder. The gift card offer on this card is only available if you are a new cardholder and have not held an Amplify Platinum or Amplify Signature card issued by St.George, Bank of Melbourne or BankSA in the last 12 months.

Card benefits

  • $400 e-gift card. When you apply and are approved by 12 February 2020 you will be eligible to receive a $400 e-gift card for your choice of either JB Hi-Fi, Bunnings or Myer. To qualify, you will need to spend at least $3,000 on eligible purchases within the first 90 days. Eligible purchases include most everyday spend, but exclude things like balance transfers and cash advances.
