The fashion powerhouse has landed at David Jones and we couldn't be happier.

If you're a Sydneysider or a Melbournite who's been eyeing off a Balmain blazer for the longest time, your time has officially come.

That's right, the iconic fashion brand has hit the stores with a brand new partnership with David Jones.

Balmain has a pretty incredible following in Australia, especially since the brand made headlines with a recent collaboration with Victoria's Secret for the revered 2017 Victoria's Secret Fashion Show.

Known best for its edgy pieces and tailored blazers (you've probably seen them all over the world on the shoulders of your favourite celebrities), landing Balmain is definitely a big win for David Jones. And if you thought that was all, just wait for it – there are shoes and handbags coming too. They'll be in David Jones next month!

Keep an eye out at the Elizabeth Street and Bourke Street stores for the first drops of Balmain's womenswear collection as part of an impressive in-store exclusive - that's right, unfortunately these gorgeous pieces aren't going to be available at David Jones online.

Queenslanders shouldn't fret too much. Department store Harrolds, which has carried Balmain for two years has a store on the Gold Coast, so shoppers in this region can still access the brand. But if you're anywhere off the East Coast, you're out of luck. Davids Jones has only announced plans to stock in Sydney and Melbourne and Harrolds designer department stores can only be found in New South Wales, Victoria and Queensland.

So the question remains, will we see any Balmain pieces in David Jones's Autumn/Winter runway show next month? We'll have to keep an eye out, but with supermodel Karlie Kloss officially walking the runway our expectations are pretty damn high.

You can get your hands on a lot of other incredible designers at David Jones, so even if you aren't based in Sydney or Melbourne, you can still find yourself some great fashion deals.
