How to Avoid The Click Frenzy Fail… and Get Everything You Want – October 2016

Yes, you CAN bag all the bargains you want at this year's Click Frenzy on 19th May @ 7pm - especially with these 5 quick tips.

It's no secret that one-day shopping event, Click Frenzy, is plagued with the frustration of frozen screens and missed bargains. Take its inaugural year (2013) as the perfect case study, when the site immediately crashed under the quake of thousands of shoppers logging in at 7pm on the dot. Every year the system gets better, however no matter how far technology advances there's still no avoiding the masses of shoppers trying to pip you to the post and get the biggest bargain. But we know a thing or two about bargains (check out our deals page if you don't believe us) and are here to pass on our tips to make sure that Click Frenzy Fail is a thing of the past.

Well, at least for you.

Here they are:

1. Shop NOW

OK you might be thinking: wait a minute... Click Frenzy doesn't start until 7pm, right? Kind of. While the sales don't "officially" start until this time, many retailers are already slashing their prices for keen bees. Which means, you could (and should) be shopping from your work computer right now to snap up those bargains even before everyone else logs on at the official hour. To help you out even further, we've already penned down the bargains that are on offer now. Click here to see them all.

2. If you like it - put it in your basket

So your favourite store hasn't released its Click Frenzy bargains yet. No drama. You can still do your window shopping until they do. Just load up your basket with all the goodies that you're eyeing and when the prices start dropping continue through the checkout. This is probably also a good time to start reassessing your basket  what you need and what you don't. Because ladies, we all know how impulse buying tends to end...

3. Compare discounts

Just because it says it's discounted, doesn't mean it's the best deal out there. Sometimes you might be able to find better discounts and deals on another site (e.g. us!) and sometimes another store might stock the brand you want for cheaper. For example, The Iconic might be offering 30% off on a brand, when the brand itself is only offering 10. Get our drift? A little research never hurt anyone and who knows how much you could end up saving.

4. Use a credit card with a 55 days interest free period

If you're the kind to get paid at the end of the week or even the end of the month, then you might be struggling to see how you can afford to bag your bargains. If you are, you might like to consider a 55 days interest free period credit card so you don't miss out. Don't forget you will need to pay it off, but at least it'll buy you the time until payday to do so.

5. Don't panic

The idea of bargains and sales might entice you to buy as fast as your hands can type, but guess what? Sales happen ALL THE TIME. Fact: we always have coupons and discounts codes for our favourite brands throughout the year and there are always other shopping events like Vogue Online Shopping Night going on that might even score you a better deal. So take a breath, do some shopping, and don't panic if you don't get everything you want. (And yeah, rejoice and dance around your house if you do!)

Happy shopping!
