Niantic's Ingress-style Pokémon game is now officially available to download in Australia.

Nine months ago, a trailer dropped for a game that seemed to fulfil the wishes of every Pokéfan, young and old. Pokémon GO promised to bring everyone's favourite pocket monsters into the real world using augmented reality. Better yet, it promised that players could traverse the real world on a quest to catch 'em all.

Today, that game has been released in the wild and is now ready for trainers all over Australia to download.

Android users can download the app from the Google Play store, though our initial search was muddied by unlicensed guides and tips. We found it much easier to follow the link from Google's search results.

iOS users can download the app from the App Store by following this link.

Happy hunting.

      Hey pads,

Thanks for your time with this one – unfortunately Australians can’t purchase the accessory just yet. We will be keeping this page up to date with the issue, and have a mailing list there if you’d like us to email you when the accessory is released. I hope this helps!
