Core Lithium (CXO) was the stand-out mover on the ASX today. Shares in the company rose 11.3% to $1.08.
The transition to net-zero is continuing to be a tailwind for lithium provider Core Lithium.
Up another 11% during today's trading, the miner which is a vital cog in electric vehicles is continuing its strong run today. Over the last 12 months, it is now up 407%.
While the company did not make any specific announcements, today's growth could be due to EV producer Rivian, which notes difficulties in sourcing raw materials.
This could lead to a higher lithium price.
Core Lithium is part of the materials sector.

The second-best mover was Lake Resources NL (LKE), with shares rising 9.2% to reach $1.31.
