Best accommodation in Iguazu Falls, Argentina

A must-see if you're a lover of all things nature and hiking, Iguazu National Park has accommodation for those of you who want to be right in the middle of it - Gran Melia Hotel. Here, you'll have the benefit of having some of nature's hotspots on your doorstep. Although you have to cross over into Brazil to get to the falls (one hour drive), from the Gran Melia you'll be able to visit the Mirador, Salto Dos Hermanas and multiple restaurants in the Iguazu jungle.

The Iguazu National Park is a short 25-minute drive away from the closest city of Puerto Iguazu where you'll find Loi Suites Iguazu Hotel.

The city centre hosts the Hito Tres Fronteras, the Orquidiaro del Indio Solitario and the Biocentro Jungle reserve. We also suggest Panoramic Grand, Iguazu Jungle Lodge or the Amerian Portal Del Igauzu Hotel for city stays that are close to the main attractions.

Best hotels in Buenos Aires, Argentina

If you're holidaying in Buenos Aires then you're going to want a hotel central to all the city must-sees. For accommodation in the city without the hustle and bustle then the The Hilton located at the Ecological Reserve will do just the trick. It's also just 20 minutes from famous attractions including Monumento Mafalda and 15 minutes from the Casa Rosada and the Plaza de Mayo.

Or you can stay smack bang in the middle of the art-rich destination at the Loi Suites Recoleta Hotel. Pay a visit to the Palais de Glace which is just a nine minute walk away. You'll find sights such as La Boca and Palacio Barolo just 30 minutes away by foot. The Tres de Febrero Park is in the northern side of the city so we recommend grabbing a taxi for the 10 minute drive from the Loi Suites. Alternatively, if you'd like to have the Tres de Febrero Park within close range, staying at the Dazzler by Wyndham Polo has you just a 10 minute walk away and 12 minutes from the Monument to the Carta Magna and Four Regions by foot.

Best hotels in Mendoza, Argentina

Mendoza is the heart of Argentina's wine country. Whether you're on team red or team white, there's bound to be a wine and a hotel perfect for you.

A stay at the Hyatt Hotel in the Mendoza city centre will have you a minute walk away from the Felix winery and under nine minutes away from the Los Toneles and Mascota vineyards via taxi.

A little further south in Chacras de Coria you have Lares de Chacras which is an eight minute drive from the Benegas, Carmelo and Luigi Bosca wineries. If you're up for a half-day trip across the Mendoza River, we recommend taking the 30 minute drive to the Piattelli vineyards. However if you're after something a little closer to the southern wineries, De Los Andes Hotel is located in the Lujan de Cuyo region.

Best hotels in Argentine Patagonia

If it's adventure that you're after then Patagonia will right up your alley.

Situated in El Calafate, the The EOLO Hotel is a short 35 minute drive to Puerto Punto Bandera and just 28 minutes to the Parque Nacional Los Glaciares. You'll have the Moreno Glacier just an hour away from the hotel as well. In the city of Ushuaia you'll find Arakur Ushuaia Resort & Spa and on its doorstep there's the Reserva Natural Cerro Alarken. Just 15 minutes away is Cascade Friends.

El Chalten is a small town filled with stays and things to do. If an expedition to the Fitz Roy is one of the things you'd like to tick off the list we recommend staying at the Chalton Suites, Hotel Infinito Sur or Hotel Lunajuim as you can book and go straight from the city centre. You also have El Chalten mountain tours, camping at El Refugio and Sendero al Fitz Roy all in town.

Frequently asked questions about Argentina hotels

Where in Argentina should I stay for vineyards?

If wine is on your mind while in Argentina then the Mendoza region is the best place to book. We recommend staying in Chacras de Coria which is centrally located with more than seven wineries within a 15-minute drive. The hotels we suggest staying at include Casa Glebinias, Hotel San Francisco and El Encuentro En Chacras De Coria

Where in Argentina should I stay for beaches?

There's no doubt that the Buenos Aires province is the go-to for holidaymakers looking for some fun in the sun. We recommend staying in Pinamar as you'll have the local beach as well as Carilo within a 20-minute drive away. In this case staying at the Green Sea Apart Hotel or the Pinamar Beach Resort are good options.

Miramar and Mar del Plata are also great beach options but are situated further down the coast. If you're driving from Pinamar it will take approximately one and a half hours to get to Mar del Plata. It's also one of the most popular locations in Argentina so there will be more crowds than most beaches. Miramar is a 50-minute drive south from there.
