Apple iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus cases

The first is the premium leather case, which is treated with a high quality aniline dye and – as Apple tells us – fits perfectly around the curved form of the phone. (It’s hard to keep from eye-rolling here, because, well, duh.) Each will be retailing at $45 for the iPhone 6 and $49 for the iPhone 6 Plus, and come in five colours: black, white, coffee, navy blue, and red.

The second is a custom-fit silicone case, which has a soft microfibre lining that cushions the phone in case of a fall. This one comes in six colours: black, light blue, pink, lime green, white, and red.

Why aren’t there more iPhone 6 cases available?

With the iPhone 6 just launching on September 19, retailers are still scrabbling to manufacture iPhone 6 cases. We’ll be updating as this page as new ones come on the market.

Where can I find waterproof iPhone 6 cases?

As soon as some waterproof iPhone 6 cases come on the market, we’ll let you know! In the meantime, try your best not to drop it in the sink / pool / nearby body of water, or let it out in the rain too long. You know the drill. We’ve all been here before.

Where will I be able to buy iPhone 6 cases in the future?

In the past few years, iPhone 6 cases have become big business. For some, it’s about the convenience. Who needs to take a wallet out when you can slip some cash and a few cards into your iPhone cover?

For others, it’s a fashion statement. Clothing brands such as Free People have developed beautiful iPhone covers that play up to the aesthetic of their pieces.

And for yet more people, it’s simply about protecting your iPhone without taking away from that sleek Apple design.

We predict it won’t be long before online stores such as Free People, DWI, Kogan, Surfstitch, David Jones, The Iconic, and ASOS all start selling iPhone 6 cases. We’ll keep you updated when they do.

How much should an iPhone 6 case cost?

Cases for your iPhone 6 usually start at around $15 for the absolute cheapest ones on the market, judging by prices for the iPhone 5. That being said, the higher quality you go, the more expensive it will be. The leather Apple iPhone 6 case might be $59, but it’s a soft, colour-treated leather that will last a long time.
