Twitch Prime subscribers can score Apex Legends loot by connecting their account
Find out how to score your free Pathfinder skin and five loot crates on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
Since Amazon extended its global reach by launching Prime in Australia, the bonus service Twitch Prime has been offering tastier and tastier treats for the biggest online games on the market.
With the exception of the long-reigning League of Legends and Fortnite, the biggest game on Twitch is Respawn's free-to-play battle royale Apex Legends. In less than a month, Apex Legends has become the third most-watched game on Twitch (according to TwitchMetrics) with a cumulative 89,107,721 hours spent watching the game on Twitch over the last 30 days (Dota 2 viewers only logged 54,229,335 hours). Not one to miss out on a white-hot trend, Twitch has partnered with EA to bring Apex Legends players and Twitch Prime subscribers some exclusive in-game loot.
Between 19 February and 18 April 2019, Apex Legends players can connect their Twitch Prime account to their EA Origin account to get an Omega Point Pathfinder Skin (pictured above) and five loot boxes.

Apex Legends is free to play but players have the option to purchase cosmetic items (like character skins and weapons) or take a chance with loot boxes that contain three mystery items.
Loot boxes in Apex Legends currently cost you 100 Apex Coins and 1,000 Apex Coins can be purchased for AUD$11.95. Then there's the Pathfinder skin that's included. The value of the skin is a little more difficult to nail down because you can only purchase particular skins with "crafting metals". This is a separate currency in the game that you obtain at random through loot boxes in Apex Legends. At the very least, you're getting roughly AUD$5.99 value for your bonus loot boxes, plus whatever you've saved on the indeterminate number of loot boxes required to get a Legendary skin.
How to claim your Apex Legends Twitch Prime loot on PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One
To claim the loot outlined above, players have to log in to their EA Origin account. Not a problem for PC players who downloaded Apex Legends through the Origin store but PlayStation 4 and Xbox One players might feel a little lost as there's no in-game Origin login screen.
First up, you need to sign in (or sign up) to EA Origin here.
Once logged in, head to the "About Me" section to see your connected accounts. If there's no PlayStation Network (PSN) or Xbox Live (XBL) account connected, enter your login details for your preferred service.
Next, you need to sign up to Twitch Prime and connect your Electronics Arts account here.
It's worth noting that the first device (PC, PS4 or Xbox One) you log in to with Apex Legends is the version you will receive the loot on, so choose wisely.
If you're trialling Twitch Prime for the first time, it's worth noting that the Final Fantasy XIV Online Starter Pack is currently free.
You can also take advantage of Amazon Prime's other perks, like Prime Video and Prime Shopping.
