Your choice of account type
You have the ability to open an individual account, margin loan and joint accounts, company and self-managed super fund accounts.
You can trade shares, cash, exchange traded funds (ETFs), initial public offerings (IPOs), SharePack, exchange traded options (ETOs) and warrants.
You are able to buy, sell and watch ASX listed shares, modify an open order, cancel an open order and give access to your trading account to a third party.

It is free to sign up for ANZ Share Investing, which gives you access to the online trading platform and tools, news, data and analysis. Trade pricing is based on the value of your trades, becoming 0.11% on trades of over $28,000.

Access to a Cash Management Account
The Cash Management Account acts as your investment hub while earning you a competitive rate of interest. There is no monthly fee for this account and you are guaranteed a return on the money invested.
How to apply
You can apply for this account by visiting ANZ website and filling out an online application form. You will first be asked the type of account you wish to apply for including; individual, joint, company, registered body, trustee or super fund. Eligibility requirements and necessary documentation may vary depending on the type you choose, but some basic requirements for all include:
- Minimum age. You must be at least 18 years of age to take advantage of this account.
- Residency requirements. Only Australian residents with an Australian residential address will be permitted to apply.
- Depository requirements. There are no stipulations made for a minimum opening balance.
You are also going to need to provide information from various documentation in order for your application to be processed. Again this will vary with the type of account you are opening, but with all you will be asked for your:
- Tax file number. Providing your tax file number (TFN) or exemption code is not compulsory. If you don't provide it, ANZ may be required to deduct withholding tax at the highest marginal tax rate along with any applicable Medicare levy.
- Identification. Acceptable forms of photo identification include your passport, driver's licence or Medicare card.
What happens after I submit my application?
If you are already an ANZ customer you will find it easier to apply for this account through your established online banking platform. New customers will need to wait for their application details to be confirmed before the account can be activated and they can begin making deposits into the Cash Management Account in order to participate in real time trading activity.
