Amazon Prime Day doesn't just bring hard-to-get discounts on popular items, it also presents an opportunity to stock up on common products for less.

If you're a fan of a nice tipple for instance, now is the time to shop, with huge offers on everything from Baileys to rosé.

Amazon Prime Day is an online shopping event that Amazon holds for its Amazon Prime members.

Millions of products will be reduced for the event, which will run until 11:59pm on Tuesday 22 June.

Deals from the UK and US sites will then be available to Australians through the Amazon Global Store until 5pm (AEST) on Wednesday 23 June.

To access the sales, you can sign up for a membership if you haven't done so already.

Membership comes with a free 30-day trial period, after which is costs $6.99 per month.
