Spice up Christmas lunch with cheap copies of Monopoly, Trivial Pursuit, Taboo and other classic board games.

It's probably going to be some time before the recently-launched Amazon Australia starts throwing sale after sale like its American counterpart, but that doesn't mean the online retailer's primo deals are off the table. It's still a cinch to order from the Amazon US website, with more and more of its big-ticket items shipping directly to Australia so you don't have to muck around with third-party package-forwarding services just to save a few bucks.

Today's Amazon US sale is particularly worth checking out, especially if you've got a few family get-togethers planned for the Christmas holidays. Rather than trying to make small talk with people you only see once a year and suffering through another blow-by-blow recap of your uncle's latest business trip, why not bring along a board game or two to inspire some friendly competition?

Over at Amazon, you can save 50% or more on a range of classic board games like Trivial Pursuit, Monopoly and Taboo, ideal for turning a dull Christmas lunch into something significantly more bearable. We've picked out our favourite deals below and converted the US prices to AUD for your convenience. You can also browse the full sale over at Amazon.
