REVEALED: How Amazon Australia’s product categories compare to overseas

Posted: 24 November 2017 6:31 am

Wondering how Amazon Australia's categories compare to the US site?

Everyone went crazy for what was supposed to be Amazon Australia's "soft launch" yesterday, even though the site was late to launch. Whilst we already know some brands selling on the site, the categories were still a mystery... until now.

A screenshot that found its way onto social media has revealed a list of categories we can most likely expect to see on Amazon. It appears as though the image was taken by a seller from Amazon, though we have not yet been able to 100% confirm this as the site still is yet to launch.

So how does Amazon Australia measure up to Amazon US? We've gathered all the product categories on both sites and it's definitely not equal. The Amazon Australia categories listed in this tweet total 18 whilst the US site contains 46.

The list is not as extensive as the American site but we definitely still have a lot to look forward to! Keep track of all the Amazon Australia news with our comprehensive guide.
