Killer mobile plan deal: 200GB for just $20
amaysim has stepped in with a "lockdown sale" until 31 July, offering a huge 200GB for $20 over 28 days (reverting to $50 for 80GB afterwards).
This plan could be a good short-term Internet option for New South Wales and Victorian residents stuck at home in lockdown, with only an overloaded NBN connection to keep them in touch with the outside world.
The plan is also contract-free, meaning you could pick it up for a single month and enjoy 200GB on the 4G Optus network to supplement your regular Internet.
Since there's no lock-in contract, you can easily swap to another provider after the 28 days have passed.
What other mobile deals are on offer?
200GB for $20 is the biggest deal that amaysim has, but there are also a few other promotions available that last between 1 and 3 months.
- $10 for 2GB for the first recharge ($12 for 2GB ongoing).
- $10 for 50GB for the first recharge, then $30 for 50GB for the next 2 recharges ($30 for 30GB ongoing).
- $15 for 65GB for the first recharge, then $40 for 65GB for next 2 recharges (ongoing is $40 for 50GB).
What about after the bonus data deal expires?
While the amaysim plan is incredible value for the first 28 days, it drops back down to $50 for 80GB on future recharges. This still isn't bad, but it might not be the best going forward.
If you're still after big data, Circles.Life has a 100GB deal that's currently just $28 a month for the first 12 months, almost half the price for an extra 20GB monthly.
Over the course of a year, you'll be spending $336 for 1200GB with Circles.Life, as opposed to $570 for 1080GB with amaysim.
Keep in mind that Circles.Life is only offering its promo price until 21 July, 8pm AEST so you'll need to act fast.
With amaysim, you still have until 31 July to get in on the big data fun. However, if you're desperate for working Internet then the time is now to snag its snazzy deal.

Outside of these lockdown sales, amaysim has also announced up to 50GB of bonus data for its current NSW and Victorian customers.
