Finder Beauty Fave: Alkira Mineral Radiance Facial Masque
Did this Australian-made, multi-functional mask live up to all its claims?
Allow me to introduce to you a new beauty brand on the market, Alkira. Australian-made, natural ingredients, cruelty-free, vegan, recyclable packaging, carbon neutral – oh, and did I mention affordable? I was lucky enough to be gifted some of the Alkira range and I've already chosen my favourite product that I need to share with you.
The quick verdict
Why is it good? This Australian-made, multi-functional mask transforms the look of my skin.
How much is it? $17.95 for 100mL.
Alkira's Mineral Radiance Facial Masque promises to detoxify the skin, enhance radiance, repair your skin's barrier and give it some intense hydration. How did it live up to all these proud claims?
The whole range of products are formulated and inspired by Australian native extracts, and the Mineral Radiance Facial Masque is no exception.
It's formulated with a botanical complex of Kakadu Plum, Quandong, Davidson Plum and Finger Lime Caviar. You've got naturally occurring high concentrations of vitamin C, which provides antioxidant protection and increases the skin's natural radiance. Citric acids and plant-derived antioxidants encourage skin rejuvenation, totally transforming the way your skin looks.
Kaolin is also included to absorb any excess oil, while pineapple and papaya enzymes remove dead skin cells. To calm and even skin tone, Alkira has added Sodium Ascorbyl Phosphate, turmeric, avocado, sunflowers, mango and aloe vera.
All of these natural ingredients have a purpose, which is why I personally love this multi-functional mask from Alkira.
The Mineral Radiance Facial Masque is quite an intense formulation so I've only been using it once a week (at night). I apply it to a damp face, admire the gorgeous pink colour, sit back and relax.
I did experience a slight tingling sensation in the first few minutes, but that's expected and it didn't last very long. All up, I leave the mask on for 15 minutes, rinse it off and follow up with a moisturiser. I don't recommend applying any active serums afterwards, just let your skin reap all the benefits from the mask.
Immediately after use, my skin looks radiant and feels smooth. The next morning, I'm sporting a gorgeous glow. My skin's texture looks better and I love the way I look makeup-free.
Alkira's Mineral Radiance Facial Masque retails at $17.95 for 100mL, which in my opinion, is incredibly affordable. A mask that you can pick up for less than $20, filled with all these amazing benefits is a big tick in my books.
