ALDI gardening sale alert: Plants and seeds from just $1.29

You can say aloe to the garden of your dreams at ALDI's next Special Buys sale.

If COVID-19 lockdowns have resulted in a new-found passion for gardening, you're not alone. The plant craze is well and truly underway and ALDI is already feeding into the obsession.

Beginning on Wednesday 17 March, the budget supermarket will run a huge plant and garden sale as part of its weekly Special Buys.

Prices are set to start at as little as $1.29, giving those with a green thumb the opportunity to bag themselves some major bargains.

Just a few of the standout deals from the sale include a walk-in greenhouse for just $49.99, gardening clogs for $9.99 and assorted succulents for just $4.99.

While product availability will vary between states, you can take advantage of the following offers Australia wide:

  • Assorted herbs, flowers and vegetables packet seeds for $1.29
  • 90mm ferns for $3.99
  • 65mm succulents for $4.99
  • Activegrow soil (25L) for $4.99
  • Pruning shears for $4.99
  • Trigger spray nozzle for $5.99
  • Premium gardening gloves for $7.99
  • Assorted packet bulbs (including daffodils, Dutch irises, jonquils, freesias and tulips) for $7.99
  • Gardening clogs for $9.99
  • Button mushroom growing kit for $16.99
  • Walk-in greenhouse (143cm x 73cm x 195cm) for $49.99
  • Grow table (76.6cm x 37cm x 79.5cm) for $89.99

Residents in New South Wales, Victoria, South Australia, Queensland and the Australian Capital Territory will also be able to get their hands on additional deals, including:

  • 120mm Kalanchoe for $5.99
  • 125mm passionfruit for $6.99
  • Indoor foliage (spider plant, sedum assorted or umbrella plant) for $7.99
  • String of pearls or beans for $9.99
  • Organic sugar cane mulch for $11.99
  • Citrus 2pck for $17.99 (selected stores only)
  • 5L citrus for $19.99 (selected stores only)

Those in Western Australia will meanwhile be able to nab their own selection of deals, such as:

  • 140mm indoor foliage (peace lily, dwarf fiddle leaf fig, devil's ivy, radiator plant) for $9.99
  • 130mm lavender for $9.99
  • 170mm hibiscus for $12.99
  • 170mm mandevilla (Crimson Fantasy or Pretty Rose Pink) for $14.99

Unlike most retailers, ALDI does not offer online shopping in Australia. To make the most of the bargains you'll need to be lined up at your local store when the sale starts to avoid missing out.
