The baggage allowance varies depending on your cabin class, whether the flight is domestic or international, and your frequent flyer membership status. For most economy class tickets between India and Australia, 30 kilograms is the maximum weight of checked baggage and 10 kilograms is the maximum weight of hand baggage allowed.
Air India is a member of Star Alliance, an international network of airlines with a shared loyalty program. That means frequent flyers can earn and spend points when they travel with Air India or any of the Star Alliance member airlines.
To make a booking online, use the search form on any Air India web page to search for suitable flights for your travel dates. Follow the prompts to enter your details, add any flight extras and confirm your booking. You will need to pay for your flights in full.
