Finder Beauty Fave: Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque
If your skin is in need of a pick-me-up, this may be the perfect face mask for you.
When it comes to self-care, some of my favourite face masks arrive in the form of sheet masks and cream-based products. I tend to stay away from clay formulas because I find them to be too rough for my skin.
Although, when I was gifted the Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque, I was intrigued. Why? Because the clay-based formulation promises a super gentle yet deep cleanse. In the middle of quarantine, that is exactly what I needed, and I haven't used another face mask since.
The quick verdict
Why is it good? This face mask offers a deep cleanse without drying out the skin.
How much is it? $50 for 60mL
Where to buy it: Adore Beauty and Myer
The Aesop Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque is a clay-based formulation like no other.
The unique combination of purified clays works to gently draw out any deep facial impurities. The formula is enhanced with aloe vera and an array of botanical extracts that are rich in nourishing fatty acids.
All these things ensure the skin does not dry out while feeling totally refreshed. Packed with antioxidants, this masque is designed for frequent deep cleansing and is suited to most skin types.
I like to use this masque about twice a week. After cleansing, I apply a thin, even layer over my entire face. The texture is really creamy, has a slight cooling effect and appears to have a nude/white-ish tint.
Check out the photos below. This is what my face looks like after 15 minutes. Aesop recommends this exact period of time, as it allows the masque to fully activate.
I wash it off with lukewarm water and follow up with my normal routine.
Not only does my skin feel smooth and soft, but it also feels totally refreshed and clarified. My face can sometimes feel a little tight after use, but it's nothing uncomfortable.
Aesop's Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque is cruelty-free, vegan and Australian-made. So, if you're looking for a luxurious cleansing face mask, you may want to give this a go.
Affordability
Aesop's Parsley Seed Cleansing Masque retails at $50 for 60mL. The packaging may look small, but you actually get a lot of product, which is something I appreciate.
It's unlikely for me to re-purchase a face mask, as I love to constantly try new ones. While I won't be buying this one any time soon, I can definitely recommend it to others and will most likely gift it to one of my friends.
Where to buy
You can shop Aesop from stockists like Adore Beauty and Myer. Both retailers offer free shipping and Afterpay, so you really can't go wrong!
