Pre-flight privileges such as generous baggage allowance, lounge access and premium check-in are just a few of a the perks you'll receive when booking a business class seat.

Curious though not sold on the flight price? There's an answer because if you've never experienced life on the other side of the plane but have always wanted to, Air New Zealand now has 30% off select business class seats to New Zealand, especially to Auckland, Queenstown or Christchurch.

You have until 3 December to make your booking, though travel is available from 15 January - 28 March, 26 April - 28 June and 23 July - 16 September 2018.

You also have to book direct using this coupon code to shave down the costs. When you do, you're looking at hundreds of dollars of savings on one-way and return flights. For example, we took a look at your typical one-way business class flight from Sydney to Auckland on 15 January. At full price, it comes up at $965. Use the code, however, and that drops to $675.

At its cheapest, this route comes down to $240. This is for a bare-bones economy seat with no checked luggage, entertainment or in-flight meals. For the privilege of adding checked luggage, on top of quality meals and service, the added $435 might be a worthwhile splurge. If you simply want to experience business class but don't want to fork out the full $1,350 for a return flight, you could even pair a business class flight in with an economy flight back to keep your return flight cost under $1,000.

Business class flights can be booked at 30% off through Air New Zealand now.
