2022 Haval Jolion range expands with limited-run Vanta variant

Featuring blacked-out trim and 18-inch alloys, the 2022 Haval Jolion Vanta will be limited to just 500 examples in Australia.
The 2022 Haval Jolion range is set to be expanded with the addition of the new range-topping Vanta variant that brings sportier looks to the marque's smallest offering.
Priced at $34,485 drive-away, the Jolion Vanta will be offered Down Under in a limited quantity of 500 units. All units come finished in Mars Red metallic paint, the regular $485 cost of which is factored into the price tag.
Similar to the bigger H6 Vanta introduced in January, the Jolion Vanta wears a host of black accents to add to its sporty look. The black 18-inch alloys are what many will notice first, but the roof rails, rear bumper garnish, door trims and fog light surrounds are also finished in black to tie the look together.
It shares its interior with the Ultra variant, which as the prior range-topper comes fully loaded with a panoramic sunroof, a 12.3-inch infotainment display, head-up display and wireless phone charging.
That builds on the Lux's already comprehensive spec list that includes heated Comfort-Tek leather seats, LED headlights, 360-degree camera system, dual-zone climate control, 7.0-inch digital instrument cluster display and 6-speaker DTS audio system.
Meanwhile, the aspirationally named Premium variant continues on as the entry-point to the range with 17-inch alloy wheels, a 10.25-inch infotainment display with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and manual air conditioning controls.
All Jolion models including the new Vanta variant feature a comprehensive array of standard safety tech, including autonomous emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, adaptive cruise control, lane keep assist and traffic sign recognition.
The 2022 Jolion Vanta also carries over the same 1.5-litre turbocharged 4-cylinder engine featured across the range, which is backed by a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic and front-wheel drive.
Like all Haval models, it is also covered by a 7-year unlimited kilometre warranty, along with 5 years of capped-price servicing and complimentary roadside assist.
Since its launch in April 2021, Haval has sold over 6,500 examples of the Jolion in Australia, making it the brand's most successful model here. It's one of a number of Chinese-made vehicles that saw a big uptick in sales during 2021, with Haval and parent company GWM's total new vehicle sales up an astonishing 251.2%.
