Launched at noon today, Tigerair’s latest sale sees return flights at just $1 when bought in conjunction with an outgoing ticket.

Standout fares from the Pay To Go - Return for $1 sale include Gold Coast-Sydney for $60 return ($59 outbound, $1 return), Brisbane Sydney for $76 return ($75 outbound, $1 return) and Melbourne-Perth for $176 return ($175 outbound, $1 return)

The discounted tickets are for Tigerair Light Fares, which don’t include checked baggage or in-flight meals. These can be added for an additional cost.

About 11,000 seats spread across flights departing in May 2017 are on sale.

The airline recently lowered its credit card booking charge down to 1.25% for Mastercards and 1.33% for Visas. The charge used to be a flat $8.50 per sector ($17 for a return flight), which was one of the highest among the four major Australian airlines,

In context those extra fees would be account for an extra 28% on top of the cheapest fare in this sale. At just over 1%, passengers can see it as additional savings when booking direct with the airline.

The Pay To Go - Return for $1 sale ends at midday on 5 September.

Is this $1.00 airfare only ends in May, because I would like to go in June to Sydney.
